Montecillo Gran Reserva 1994, Rioja

Color: Dark red-brown with black, light brown rim going on orange, good depth medium intensity.
Nose: very complex after one hour decanting, mature red berry fruit, raisins, prune, dried figs, mushrooms, balsamic wood, tobaco, butter, carnations going on honey, some anis, herbes, leather etc.....
Palate: Full bodied, complex, follows the smell very good, sweet-acid fruit, great balance, long quite rich finish with leather and the balsamic wood.

Great stuff at a fare price.
