| Grapes: Temranillo 85%, 15 % Granacha Tinta and Graciano. Color: Brown, red with some orange rim. Medium depth and intensity. Nose: Complex but a little to sweet fruit for me, raisins, prunes, chocolate, nicely oaked 50/50 american and french, 50% new oak, spices like cinnamon. Palate: Medium bodied, good consentration of mature fruit, prunes, chocolate, vanilla oak, warm spices, medium good structure and balance. Quiet complex. Foodmatch: Lambcarrè with estragon, perfect. A classic Rioja, very nicely oaked not a wooden taste that you find in many Rioja wines made in the classic maner. A little to sweet maybe, a little boring. | |
