| This is a wine made under the unofficial new classification "Alta Exprecion ". Which means that the wine is made with an expression of the local "terroir" MC is a new wine made by Marques de Caceres. They want to have a modern wine in their productline, and what they made is absolutely worth a try. The 2001 vintage is the first ever for this product. Malolactic fermentation. Grapes: 100% Tempranillo from Rioja Alta Color: Black-violet, very deep, and very good intensity. Nose: Very intens fruit of blackberry, black currant, chocolate, mint, prunes and a little vanilla oak. Palate: Full body, Oily consentrated intens sweet fruit of blackberry, black currant, prunes, chocolate, mint, cofee, vanilla, leather, super structure, a lot of tannins here but they are fine and smooth, good acidity, great balance, the finish is firm. Foodmatch: Grilled red meats, strong tasting cheeses like Gorgonzola, Stilton or Manchego. Cellaring: 0-15 years. I would recomend to drink it now, with all the freshness, the producer also wants the consumer to drink it now. Super Super at a good price. 32 USD in Norway. | |
