Tempranillo 2002, Baja California, Bodegas de Santo Tomas

Color: Dark ruby with black, medium depth, good intensity.
Nose: Dark fruit, blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry, some leather, toasted french oak, some vanilla.
Palate: Full bodied minus, young fruit as above, good consentration and acidity, powerful firm finish with young dry tannins, coffee and licoricetobacco, nicely oaked.
Foodmatch: Grill with rich sauces.
Cellaring: 1-5 years.
The wine is very nicely made. A little out of balance now, but it is young. This wine is great value and will in my opinion age and develope very well. 8 usd.
