| Color: Deep red with violet, medium depth. Nose: Distinct aromas of black and red cherry, blueberry, blackberry, just a hint of barnyard, spices and vanilla, sence of oak. Some earthy minerals. Palate: Medium to full bodied, a lot of concentrated fruit as above, medium tannins, good balancing acidty. Long very fresh finish, slightly dry in the end from tannins and some oak. Foodmatch: Allround from fish with a fat sauce to chicken, turkey, pork, and red meat. Goes good with lamb and game if the dish is not to powerful. Tomato based caserolls. Cellaring: Drink now, will not be of better quality aged more than a year. Super nice Chianti. | |
