| This is a first growth from Pauillac. We opened 4 bottles and one was destroyed, the others were identical and in good condition. The wines had developed some sediment but only a teaspoon full. Color: dark brown with orange rim, still medium to good depth. Nose: A lot of green paprika, barnyard, cedar, spices, prunes, coffee. Palate: Medium to full bodied, very smooth and complex, good concentration and very good balance, still very nice acidity and fruit, tannins believe it or not quite distinct and in perfect balance with the rest. Long smooth and nyanced finish. Foodmatch: lamb, game and other red meat. We used it for beef, a perfect match. Cellaring: Can still age more years but very mature and good now. A super nice experience to taste this old Bordeaux | |
