| Grapes: 85 % Merlot, 15 % Cabernet Franc Color: Dark red with a touch of brown, medium to good depth. Nose: Some beefstock, black cherry and black plum, some vanilla, nicely oaked, some pencil and bacon, touch of toast, fine balance. Palate: Full bodied, very smooth and soft in the mouth, fine mature tannins, good concentration, fine balancing acidity, mature berries as above, long finish with some vanilla, oak, toast, coffee and still firm tannins. Slightly dry. Foodmatch: Great with lamb, duck, game and red meats. Consomme sauces. Cellaring: 0-6 years. Very good wine, smooth style, everything in perfect balance, slightly dry finish, but with food that will give harmony. 32 USD | |
