| This wine is very cheap and good quality, a good everyday BDX. The grapes comes from 30 year old vines in the hills of Isle close to Pomerol. Color: Dark red, good depth. Nose: Classic bdx with black currant, some plum, green pepper ( paprika ), some earth, meat, bacon, coffee, some anis, minerals like steel or iron ( merlot). Palate: Full bodied, mature fruit, quite good concentration and structure, smooth and mellow, firm dry finish with coffee, leather, medium tannin. Foodmatch: Allround red meat. Cellaring: Drink now or hold 2 years. Good value BDX, and it seams like the 2004 vintage is to my likeness, maybe it will be something like 1996 in the future | |
