| Some history for Jerry who loves this wine: Producer is Francois Theil. From 2003 this wine has Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel status. The Château has history back to the 15th. century, and has been in the Theil family since 1921. Color: Dark red. Nose: Some sweet mature plum and some blackcurrant, toasty oak, coffee. Palate: Full bodied, good balanced structure, black currant pepper, and the same dark berry fruit, long finish. Foodmatch: Cheese, game, red meat. Cellaring: 0-10 years. Great wine, very nice. | |
