| Fra: Sadoprest (Opprinnelig melding) Sendt: 23.01.2004 23:41 This is a wine in the Charles Shaw line of cheap, approachable(?) wines from Napa Valley, California. 100% Shiraz/Syrah Color: Clear ruby red. Seems very young and/or dilute for some reason. Nose: Red fruits. Not easily to recognize though. Hints of pepper. Palate: Subtle pepper; some, but plesant, blackberry; mild oak. Tannins are there, but not quite in the picture. I doubt they ever will be. Acid...well, yes, but not enough to make this the wine to accompany a real hearty meal. Although, a burger or steak with fries would do good with this one, and to WHAT price(!!!). Purchased at Trader Joe's (Seattle) for a mere $2.99. Unbeatable! | |
