| Color: Still has a dark red color with bricking, not much orange on the rim yet. Nose: A lot of beefstock, spices, dried fruits, mushrooms, tobacco, anis, balsamic wood etc... Palate: Medium bodied, very mature dried fruits, still good acidity and firm tannins, long finish. Foodmatch: Game or other red meats, a fat sauce. Cellaring: 0-5 years. Because of the surprisingly high level of tannins and acidity in this wine you can still age it for a long time. Be aware that the fruit is starting to fade, so in my mind this wine after 10 more years will have no fruit and be unbalanced and dominated of only the little rough tannins | |
