Grapes: 100% Sangiovese.
Color: Dark red with blue and black, very deep and top intensity.
Nose: Very complex even if young, sweet black cherry, almonds, vanilla, barnyard, tobacco, eucalyptus, coffee, chocolate, pepper, mushrooms.
Palate: Full bodied, very elegant, sweet-sour ripe black cherries, super consentration, very good balance and structure, long firm finish, tannins fine, high acidity, tobacco, chocolate, pepper.
Foodmatch: Lamb, game, calf, cheese, maybe even dark chocolate. Dishes with mushrooms.
Cellaring: 0-15 years. Very long life ahead.
This is by far the best Rosso di Montalcino I ever tasted.
