Schloss Vollrads Riesling Spätlese Halbtrocken 1990, Rheinga

Color: Golden yellow, good intensity.
Nose: First thing I think about is the ponds in a forest, like swamp water. Yellow apples and yellow plums, some butter, apricot, and honey, a lot of different minerals, petroleum, nicely developed.
Palate: Medium bodied, good consentration with aromas as above, very long finish with minerals and applejuice, good balance.
Foodmatch: Difficult but somethink fried with apple.
Cellaring: 0-2 years.
Very complex and developed, good value, different.
