Ch. Hortevie 1999, St. Julien, Pradere

Color: Dark red-black, touch of brown, medium depth, good intensity.
Nose: A little difficult to get the aromas, ripe black cherry and black currant, touch of pencil and barnyard, touch of vanilla and oak, some minerals, earth.
Palate: Medium bodied+, slim fruit but consentrated of a little sweet-sour berries as above, good structure and balance, quite delicate all the curve, medium long finish with good acidity and firmness, tannins smooth but young, a little dry oak in the back.
Foodmatch: Lamb, red meats. Rich dishes of white meats.
Cellaring: 0-5 years.
Quite slim but delicate style, a little to much dryness in the finish but good value.
