| Color: Golden yellow, medium intensity. Nose: Fear share of botrytis, dried fruits like peach, apricot, candied peel of orange and lemon, butterflowers, sultana raisins, some vanilla, touch of toasted new oak. Palate: Full bodied, oily consentrated fruit the same as above, good balance and acidity, very harmonious, high botryitis flawors, complex, long finish with the same light toasted oak. Airing: Just opened it was closed and I got a lot of the toasted oak, but now 5 hours later and at the right temprature 13 degrees the oak is very nicely integrated. Foodmatch: Today we had three desserts: Chocolate truffel pudding ( not dark bitter chocolate ), apple pie and Rochefort, and it goes perfectly with all the dishes. I am not surprised though. Cellaring: 0- 20 years, or more. It has the fruit and acidity to age well for a long time. This is a SUPER QPR it is very similar to a Sauternes that costs at least twice as much. | |
