Color: Dark ruby with some brown showing, medium depth and intensity.
Nose: Mature blackcurrant, plum and black cherries, nicely integrated french oak, warm spices like cinnamon and clove, flowers, some tobacco and earth, some cold aromas like green tea. Elegant.
Palate: Medium bodied +, Acid fruit of mature blackcurrant and red cherries, soft and juicy, medium fruitconcentration, medium tannins, nice acid finish with some spices and leather, but a little dry oak. Medium long.
Foodmatch: Very good wine for food like, pork, not too rich dishes of cow, caserolls, sauces with cream and mushrooms, mature cheeses.
Cellaring: 0-3 years.
This wine is better in good years in Argentina. 1998 was the year of "El Niño", but they made a desant wine after all. 9 USD.
